Pommelo is a vitamin C rich local fruit. It is a very popular fruit in rural Bangladesh.It is known in many local dialect including Batabi lebu, Jambura or Cholom. This is a very delicious fruit. Everybody like this juicy fruit for its sour-sweet taste. It is mixed with green or dry chili and offered to someone affected with cold and fever. Vitamin C confers contraction-extention of the blood vessels. Pommelo is unique preventing non-communicable diseases including diabetes, cancer in stomach and pancreas,etc.Pommelo also increases healing power. It is effective for removing weakness and gaining convalesce.
Pommello is rich in potassium, antioxidant, Vitamin C and Vitamin B .It helps reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke. It delays aging and maintain vigor because of its rich content of Vitamin C.
