It promotes children's resistance to cold and cough, It is effective against palpitation,scurvy, cardiac and stomach debility. It is also usd as a hair tonic . The dried fruits are used for treating dtarrhoea,dysentry,anaemia ,jaundice and dyspepsia, It is also used in insomnia,skin problems, gall pain ,leucorrhoea ,tympanitis and as an anti-emetic.
